Stallings, Edmund Taylor: Edmund Taylor Stallings, son of David and Emily McVay Stallings, was born Feb 20, 1869, and died June 18, 1944, following a long illness being at the time of his death, 75 years, three months and twenty-nine days old. She was a member of St. Philomena's Catholic Church and was a past president of the Caldwell Women's Literary Club. Born March 29, 1892 in Pine Grove, WV., Shrede was a retired employee of the Steubenville plant of Wheeling Steel and a member of the Methodist Church, Bellaire. M. Shea was at the helm of motion picture houses in Zanesville, other cities in Ohio and neighboring states. The body was taken from Doudna and McClure's to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bessie Tice at Milltown, on Thursday. Four siblings, Clarence, Stephen, Rufus and Edith Swett also predeceased him. He was born August 12, 1922 at Caldwell to Walter and Maude McLain Springer. He was a retired bartender from Wayne's Tavern at Morristown, a member of St. Clairsville VFW and American Legion. Surviving in addition to her husband are five Children, Tiffaney Ann, David Joe, Cheryl Jane, Lisa Jean and Tina Marie, all of the home; her parents, Mrs. Ada Smith Pulaski, VA and Edwin C. Smith of AltaVista, VA; her paternal grandfather Harry E. Smith of Columbus; aunts and uncles. The family moved to Newton Highlands, Mass., from Cambridge; and then to Englewood in 1928.

She was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Carl F. Haug. He leave his wife Molly, two daughters, one son and six grandchildren, all of Arizona; and six sisters, Mrs. Opal Touvell of Byesville; Mrs. Zona Starr of For Myers, FL., Mrs. Ethel McClintock of Dover, Mrs. Georgia McClintock of Uhrichsville, Mrs. Mildred Hall of Newton and Mrs. Bertha Shepherd of Brewster; and one brother, Harry Showalter of Byesville. He was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Co., Yorkville plant and a U. Simone was killed in action near Achen, Germany, Feb 7, 1945, while servicing with Company G, 311 Infantry, 78th division. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Sutton and Beatrice Baughman Sutton Fox. Truly of Mrs. Swann it may be said none knew her but to love her, and she leaves to her husband and children the memory of a pure and blameless life and the world is the better for her having lived. Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. Katherine Kannel of Oxford, PA., and an adopted daughter, Miss Mary L. McMillan of Bloomingdale, Michigan.
