❌ THE MAGIC and the history behind how the world started has always been really confusing to me in this world. Dance of Thieves really lives up to its name along with the Remnant Chronicles hype. I found it hard to keep up in a good way. His morals are incredibly murky, seemingly motivated largely by his personal feelings (especially for Kazi). Pearson is evil and I need book 2 now. I find the plot, characters and world-building so much more interesting, gripping and memorable in TRC. Watching Natiya, Pauline, Kaden, Lia nd Rafe all grown up made me cry. Teens become astronauts in record time for an inaugural space mission. If anyone can find out the truth and bring home a wanted war criminal, it's her. Somehow, Kazi's murky and mysterious past made me love her all the more. I also had a hard time remembering the ending of the series (who ended up ruling where) so I suggest doing a quick once-over of the finale if you're coming from the other books. A need I couldn't name. Review and rating to come.
