Backup Camera Stays On In Drive
About every third or fourth time I back up, when shifting into Drive, the backup camera stays on (usually, it will switch over after driving forward a few feet). Cnyle Report post Posted April 29, 2014 Well I really didn't think I would be posting here for help already but I do have a small problem. This is on a May 2021 build, so it might not work on 2020s, or on cars with more recent software. How long is the Backup camera supposed to stay on. I'm wondering if this was a glitch, or if I accidentally touched some spot on the display to keep the camera on. If there is no control for a while, disappears from the screen automatically.

I was in reverse and plugged in my phone to use Android Auto. On our MY, the backup camera stays on only in reverse and immediately turns off in drive. This function allows you to view the rear of the vehicle while driving through the rear camera mounted on the vehicle. After I came out of the store and restarted the car, everything was back to normal. At this point I went ahead and drove to the store (about 3 miles). It will go off if I use the front camera or after driving ~20 seconds. Do people find this actually works or is easy to use? Not sure if you are correct. I didn t look at the screen and ran over a curb. This is the first time this has happen to me. Take your foot off the brake and start moving forward. I figured it would turn off when I reached a certain speed, but I got up to about 45-50 mph and it continued to display.

With the car running, in gear, brake pedal down, press the camera button in front of the mode dial. If there is no control for a while, it goes back to the PDW mode automatically.
When the shift lever is placed in R with the vehicle's ignition turned on, rear camera will operate. In addition, you can set up the Camera View as a favorite as well. To switch the view to the other camera's, touch the camera view area on the screen and press when it is displayed. It's what you get used to. We just got our 2011 Edge Saturday and I noticed it one time yesterday, but my wife said that twice today the camera stayed on even while the car was in drive. Please run through this and let us know what you find. How can I view a rearview camera in this fashion? The 2022 Ford F150 5.
