Packing of Penzance is very simple and three slices will fill a medium sized pipe. Penzance is a very dark Mottled Flake - I suppose it's the British equivalent to Crumble Kake- that is all about the Latakia. You get the picture? Then amp it up and get some clouds forming and the VA sweet gives way to delicious Latakia and Oriental complexity that expertly blends all the flavors together into a unique, delicious, relaxing experience. Favors are still creamy and smoky with a bitter sweetness. The first thing one will notice about Penzance is the form and appearance - a dark, oily flake with flecks of brown and gold. Very etheral, woodsy, slightly sour with some hint of floral notes to it. This special aging process is probably done in the open air with lots of humidity or dampness to keep the tobacco moist while allowing bacteria and other organisms to thrive and do their decaying thing.
