The sheer number of twists and turns in House of Salt and Sorrow was enough to rival the Cretan Labyrinth. It doesn't matter if you have your own theory about who the culprit is bcs she'll make you doubt it. I'm not saying this to be funny: no one in this book had a personality. But then the issues start. So, when I went to sleep last night (more like this night since it was after midnight), I kept thinking about what I'm going to say about this book. Is this a sub-genre? It's a pity my copy was defective, but I guess I'll have to live with it. As a result, this story was more complicated than it needed to be. The Author is off to a very solid start with this debut novel.
