Did you have an opportunity to go on a book tour or sign some autographs and really kick the thing off? It was just incredible to see their work and be with them and hear how they did it. And it just got put on the back burner and it stayed there for many, many years. The Last of His Breed: keep those print maps crew! I'm very humbled by it. I didn't ski, and therefore wasn't aware of ski maps, until I moved to Denver with my family and contacted the legendary landscape artist Bill Brown to ask whether he might have an overflow of work painting ski maps. He took it up to the client, the client thought it was Bill's. In fact, I thought I was pretty good because at the end of the course, they had a little contest there and I had the fastest time down. What do you think it is about your work that captures people's attention? I know it's documented in your book, but give us a sense of what brought you into the world of documenting all of these amazing ski areas. And I think that's one of the things that are truly unique about skiing and snowboarding as a sport is that it's about the people and the culture. And so I knew that Bill Brown, the previous trail map illustrator, was living in Denver. But as you look, look into the next generation, do you see any new artists coming up or is there new technology that may come out of the scene? We had taken quite a long time getting all the shots and the coffee was coming through.
