I've added enough a few inches of padding to the cart so the frame holds the boat without touching the tires. 2 clamps hold the drive bar in place so unless, you've got it completely removed, it'll never fall off. Getting to the gear in the back isn't too bad in calm water, the seat can fold down and you have full access to your gear back there. There is no life without water. "
