Odie’s Dark Oil – Small

Odie's Oil has a creamy, pale amber color and a honey-like consistency with a pleasant odor and no harmful VOCs. If I resand with 80-120-150-220 grits and apply mineral spirits and then tung oil, would this work well? Choose Odie's Oil Dark or a Kit with Applicator Pads: Odie's Dark Oil is easy to use, especially with the optional 3M Hand Pads for application! Swirl a pad then scrub on the body, let it sit then buff off after an hour or so. It really seems like they are similar products, but there must be some things one does better than another. As the ambient environment and moisture levels change, the wood will absorb or lose moisture and this will cause it to move substantially.

How To Use Odies Wood Oil
I decided to buy a jar and I haven't looked back. 220 Grit- Apply two coats a day apart. Features: Includes: California Residents: WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm - |. I like to go to at least 600 and sometimes go a couple grades higher if I want a really nice finish. In my experience the finished product is a lot like a well cured tung oil without the hassle or slow/unreliable curing, but I agree it is not a film finish that builds up on the wood like shellac or varnish. Perfect for rough or textured surfaces where thicker finishes would be difficult to buff off such as live edge projects.
